Building supplier relationships

After arriving from Colombia, South America, in 2000, Oscar, his wife, Liliana, and daughter, Nicole Succar succeeded in building a nation-wide business that supplies fresh flowers to giant retailer, Costco, as well as to a number of stores in Ontario. They had the idea to found Bloomstar before they immigrated, so they hit the ground running, first, in Ontario. From there, they landed Costco, then worked their way systematically across the country, establishing warehouses in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and BC, where they decided to make their home. Although many of their products are grown in Canada, up to 80% are imported from Colombia, with roses coming from Ecuador. They credit their success to hard work and dedication.
