Michael Lee-Chin, likely most famous for his $30M contribution to the crystal renovation of the Royal Ontario Museum, operates Portland Holdings, an investment company that owns a broad range of businesses across many sectors of the Canadian economy. In addition to his holdings in media, tourism, health care, telecommunications and financial services, he is also actively involved in his native country, Jamaica, where he is Chairman of the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica and where he was awarded the prestigious Order of Jamaica,. As noted above, he is also a philanthropist whose donations include $10M to the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, among others.
