Value of learning financial skills in school

In 1989, Wade Pugh and his four partners were working hard to get their unique chocolate company into profitability. Their name refers to their original idea, an edible shot glass made of chocolate, for which they soon learned there was no significant market. One by one the partners left to pursue other interests but Wade stayed on, discovering a market for their hard-won distribution network. Today, Wade is sole owner of a remade business with an increasingly diverse product line that supplies chocolates and specialty candies and souvenirs to North American restaurants and fine hotels.
